Executive Team
Johnny Wu
Johnny Wu is the CEO of xETFs, which he founded in 2025. Prior to xETFs, Johnny founded Quartzy Capital Advisors in 2020 to provide consulting and product development advice to financial institutions. Previously, he founded and ran a volatility arbitrage hedge fund from 2019-2020. From 2005-2017, Johnny worked at Barclays where he rose to Managing Director and led a Cross Asset Derivatives Solutions team in New York responsible for designing and marketing derivatives-based products to investors.
Johnny has a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Kenneth Wong
Kenneth Wong joined xETFs in 2025 as Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer. Previously, Kenneth was at BlackRock where he focused on researching and developing new ETF products across Equities, Derivatives, and Alternatives. Before joining BlackRock he worked in Equity Capital Markets at Lazard, advising corporate clients on capital structure and strategic financing solutions. Prior to that, Kenneth was part of Deutsche Bank’s Equity Derivatives Structuring team designing bespoke investment strategies for both retail and institutional investors.
Kenneth has a B.A. from Stanford University and is a CFA charterholder.
Lisa Donohoe
Lisa Donohoe joined xETFs in 2025 as CFO/ COO and Co-Founder. She previously served as the Chief Operating and Compliance Officer at PEO Partners, an asset management firm. Lisa has over fourteen years of experience working with emerging asset managers. Previously, she was in investment banking at Merrill Lynch for ten years where she advised corporate clients on financing and strategic transactions.
Lisa earned a JD with honors/ MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago and a B.S. with honors in Finance from the University of Illinois, and is a CFA charterholder.
Jon Ryan
Jon Ryan previously served as the Director of Marketing & Communications at MarketReader, a generative AI market intelligence firm, where he built the company’s demand generation engine from pre-launch through seed funding and enterprise customer acquisition.
Jon has over ten years of experience working with emerging technology companies across fintech, SaaS, and AI. He has also served as a fractional CMO and marketing advisor to multiple startups, leading growth strategies, integrated campaigns, and category development programs.
Jon earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University.
